Basic Survival - Water

     According to the "Rule of 3s", one can go only three days without water.  Water is undoubtedly one of the most crucial resources needed for survial.  Our body's need for this resource is only exacerbated by a survival scenario.  Join us in learning how to avoid becoming a statistic.  You will be challenged and there will be sweat but it will be worth it in the end.  Afterall, the majority of our body is composed of this precious resource.
     In this course students will receive training on field sanitation, a topic that is often over-looked in today's sexy survival topics craze.  Learn how to procure and contain water effectively while avoiding those nasty microbes that can spell disaster in an extended survival scenario.  Student also learn modern, primitive and improvised water sanitation methods as well as learning about container options.  Implements for the use of water will be constucted from the woodlands.  Training includes items that should be carried in various kits.  Students will also learn about camp site selection, introduction to knife, saw and axe usage, how to utilize items in their 72 hour kit and improvised implements.  Additionally, students learn techniques to conserve energy and tricks to make camp life more enjoyable.

     This course is for two-days and one-night.  Students are welcome to camp on Friday night prior to the course.  Meals are NOT provided.  Latrines are available.  No bathing facilities available.  Instructors have time flexibility based on the ability of the group but generally speaking; classes should begin around 8 a.m. and finish around 6 p.m. Saturday and begin at 8:00 a.m. and finish around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Cost of class is $125.00, hurry, class size is limited to 10 camp sites. 

         The deadline to register for classes is one week prior to the scheduled event in order to adequately prepare for the instruction of the class.
